Your options
Shingles built for Houston weather
Architectural shingles
The Houston standard: a dimensional look, strong wind ratings and the widest range of colors from every major brand.
Impact-rated shingles
Class 3 and Class 4 shingles are built to take hail. In Texas, Class 4 shingles can qualify for insurance discounts, so ask your agent what your policy rewards.
Metal accents
Standing-seam metal over porches, bay windows and accent areas, tied in cleanly with the rest of the roof.
Good to know
Signs it may be time for a new roof
- Curling, cracked or missing shingles
- Granules collecting in gutters or at the downspouts
- Stains on ceilings or a leak that keeps coming back
- A roof that has been patched again and again
- An asphalt roof around 15 to 20 years old
- A notice from your insurance company about your roof's condition
Questions
Common questions
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most homes take one to two days on the roof, weather permitting. Larger or more complex roofs take longer, and we give you a schedule before we start.
Do I need to be home during the work?
No. We need access to the driveway and an outdoor outlet. We send progress photos during the build and walk the finished roof with you at the end.
Will insurance pay for my new roof?
If storms damaged it, your policy may cover the replacement. Normal wear and age usually aren't covered. A free inspection tells you which one you're dealing with, and our claim guide walks you through filing.
Can you work with my HOA?
Yes. We help you pick approved materials and colors and provide the product information most HOAs ask for before they approve a roof.
How much does a new roof cost?
It depends on the size, pitch, number of layers and the shingle you choose. After the free inspection you get a written, line-by-line estimate, and financing is available.
